30 Years of Coast Guard Licensing Experience

Captains School - Get your Captain's license the easy way with 3B's Coast Guard approved traveling school coming to your area soon. 4 - 2-day weekends or 3 - 3-day weekends. It's a complete "hands - on" course with a certificate which is proof of competency for the Coast Guard 6 pak license. All Required subjects are covered, including Rules of the Road, navigation, GPS, loran, firefighting, boat handling, fire-fighting at sea, marine communications, aids to navigation, and marine publications.

Upgrade to Master No Matter How Long You've Had Your License!

The Coast Guard has approved 3B's to do the Master's upgrade from the 6PAK. It'll be done as a separate course. The way it works is that you first get the 6PAK; then come back for the Master's course where an "upgrade" certificate will be issued so you can take more than 6 passengers on a cruise boat, headboat, water taxi, etc.

All tuitions include the workbook and test. It will normally be a Friday/Saturday and Sunday but if there is a need we can do it in any 3 days period for 10 students.

There are three types of classes offered: 4 weekends (Sat/Sun only), 3 weekends which include the Friday night Plus Saturday and Sunday and the newest addition is a weekday class.

Note: Triple Weekends are Friday Nite (6 PM - 10 PM) and Saturday and Sunday (8 AM - 5 PM) during the day. Four Weekends are Saturday and Sunday (8 AM - 5 PM). Weekly classes vary, so call for schedule. All classes have the same total hours and include the test.

OR EVEN PUT TOGETHER YOUR OWN CLASS (10 MINIMUM).

Your fishing/boating club? Your marina? Just a bunch of guys? We can come to you and the group organizer will get his tuition 1/2 price! Get a few interested and we'll furnish ads, posters, mailings to make up the rest. Be a leader in your fishing or sailing club. Even earn some extra money for your treasury while making them safer mariners. We can even arrange special weekday classes, weekend/weekday combination or even weeknights.

Yes 3B's will come to you for advanced nautical training with lots of practical, "hands on" practice. Just give us 2 week-ends for a CG test or add 3rd week-end (6-Pak or Master) for additional training -Test, and then a day to test or 6 days and you'll get training that may save lives!

This is not a captain's "prep" course to prepare you to take the captain's test, but a Coast Guard approved course in which you learn the material as defined by the Coast Guard using "hands on" methods. It's not easier than the Coast Guard test, but you actually get to learn the skills on a professional level. You'll be a safer more knowledgeable mariner!

This course will provide a certificate that when accompanied by required paperwork (the Coast Guard is the final authority as to physical ability, character, experience, etc.) to get your popular 6 Pak License which allows you to take up to 6 passengers on any vessel up to 100 gross tons. Tuition includes texts, workbook, and use of plotting gear. We also have CPR (only available if at least ten students need it). Upgrade piloting, Review of "Rules of the Road", and test during the last week end.

Courses are set up to run 3 week-ends, 4 week-ends or 7 days. The first week-ends will be all new material with lots of "hands on" practical work. The last week-end includes a day of material/review and a day of testing. All courses are identical in that if you miss a day or week-end, it can be made up by attending the same days at another place, but you must attend every segment to test!

Attend all the classes and pass the test and we will issue a certificate. Then it's your CPR/first aid card, physical, 365 days operating your own boat (sign for yourself if it's your own boat) and you're on your way to possessing the most treasured piece of paper on the water.
